fone.care Service and Warranty Disclaimer

By agreeing to this I authorise fone.care to carry out repairs to my device. I accept that having my device repaired could lead to other faults, or highlight further faults that may be of a different nature and, therefore cannot be repaired by a fone.care technician. I understand that fone.care cannot be held liable for any data loss which could occur as a result of any work carried out on my device. I also agree that I am responsible for backing up my device before handing it over to a fone.care technician for repair.

fone.care also accepts no responsibility for any data loss, hardware or software failure during or after the repair by unless the fault or loss is due to severe neglect by a fone.care technician. I accept that any repair or technical support carried out by fone.care may void manufacturers warranties for the device. fone.care will not assume any responsibility in the event that a manufacturer’s warranty is refused or void, but may in some cases offer its own warranty on said parts or services. I accept that it is my own responsibility to inform fone.care of known faults to the best of my ability, and also understand that even though all fone.care technicians will check the phone over for faults before and after, some faults may be unnoticeable. We will contact you with any further knows faults with the phone and consult with you before repair is undertaken.

As part of our service we have to check the device before the repair has taken place to ensure there are no other problems also the device has to go through the same process once the repair has finished, this involves using and unlocking the device to test each part.

fone.care lifetime warranty:

  • Screen/LCD and any other repaired or replaced parts that malfunction, or do not work as intended or designed.

  • Warranty is limited to the parts and/or services that were paid for, warranty extends to cover the labour cost of part replacement and any other repairs specifically resulting from the initial repair, except in the situations outlined below.

  • The warranty is valid only for the specific device repaired and the original customer; it is not transferable across devices or if the device is sold or given to another individual.

What does your lifetime repair warranty not cover?

Our lifetime warranty does not cover:

  • Batteries:

    Unfortunately we can’t offer a lifetime warranty for the batteries. The warranty for batteries is limited to 12 months.

  • Liquid damage repairs:

    Due to the fickle nature of liquid damage, we cannot warranty any liquid damage repairs, even if they are successful. There is no guarantee when it comes to a device that has liquid damage or how long it will last past the incident.

  • User-caused damage after the repair:

    We provide a lifetime warranty on all premium repairs because of our confidence in both our high-quality hardware, as well as our technician's abilities to properly perform repairs. We cannot, however, use this warranty to cover any damage caused to a device by the customer after the repair because this is not a result of either the hardware being faulty/defective or the technician improperly installing it. The warranty is void as soon as any cracks or chips appear on the screen. It is also void if any black ‘blobs’, green flushing light or lines flashing on the colour part of the screen without the outer glass being damaged. All these signs are present after accidental damage and can appear immediately or within number of hours after the initial impact.

  • Improper repair by someone other than a fone.care technician or use of any other product other than fone.care products after the repair:

    If your device shows evidence of having been tampered with or shows evidence of being damaged as a result of an additional repair or attempted repair after being serviced by a fone.care technician, then the warranty is void.

  • Any loss of data occurring as a result of the repair - customers are advised to back up all data prior to repair attempt.
